WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT MARY?

What does the Holy Bible say about Mary?

The Mary of the Bible, is the woman who was chosen by God to bear Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit. She was not given any special powers, she was not the mother of God, neither was she the figurine bedecked with golden tiaras and rosaries that some world religions have put on a pedestal as a deity.

Mary of the Bible was an ordinary, God fearing woman. And when Jesus starts his Ministry, He is filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, and ministers to people Himself, not with Mary’s help. In Mark 3: 32-35, Jesus separates his power from his earthly mother, Mary, by declaring that we are all brethren, when we do the will of God.

32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother or my brethren?

34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren?
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and my mother. (Holy Bible, King James version)

And is Mary the eternal “virgin” that world religions teach?

When you read the Bible, you will discover the truth about Mary, the mother of Jesus. It was necessary for her to be pure, in order to bear the savior Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. However, this same Mary got married to Joseph as a virgin, and after she bore Jesus, her marriage was consummated in the way that marriages are. Her husband, Joseph, knew her, and she bore children, including James, Joses, Judas, Simon. So the concept of Mary as ever virgin is actually heretic. It is against the Biblical truth that is recorded as the word of God.

Jesus Himself condemns religious teachings, which He calls “the commandments of men.” In MARK 7:6-9, it is very clear that Jesus is not happy with people who advance the commandments of men (church laws/dogmas), instead of glorifying God. The Pharisees were challenging Him about His disciples not washing their hands before eating bread, as per tradition.

6 He answered and said unto them, Well has Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written. This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

8 For laying aside the commandments of God, ye hold the traditions of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (Holy Bible, King James version)

Personal Testimony:

In addition to the “Hail Mary” prayers being taken as the way to salvation, another blasphemy was added: “the brown scapular”, which supposedly was blessed by the “Mother of God” to protect the devotees from hell fire and eternal damnation. So in addition to donning the rosary, the devotees wear this ’charm’, and they can commit all manner of sin, including adultery and fornication, but since they wear the protective brown scapular, they will not be condemned to hell for their sins against the living God!  My own mother, a devotee of the Virgin Mary cult, wears this brown scapular!

I shudder to think that this heresy is taught as the truth about salvation to young children, reinforcing separation from Christ and committing more souls to the forces of darkness. JESUS IS THE WAY!
