THE BIBLE is very clear on how we can attain salvation, this being the belief in Jesus Christ and a righteous life. No matter what your religion teaches you about the various default formulas to go to heaven, the TRUTH is in Jesus Christ as savior only. It is shocking that even after people read or hear the Bible teachings about salvation, their hearts and souls refuse to accept the truth. This is because they have allowed their souls to be the devil’s workshop, they find comfort and pleasure in their sinful lifestyles, they are taken up by worldly materialism which passes way, and they glorify man instead of God.
In MARK 8: 34-38, Jesus explains that SALVATION is through Him only, no other.
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
In REVELATION 22: 16, 18-19, Jesus’ teaching and testimony for salvation is very real. He gives us a warning that nobody should add or subtract from the Bible, but God’s Word should be preached as He revealed it.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Holy Bible, King James version)
