DOES MONEY BUY GOD'S BLESSINGS? THE BIBLE SAYS "NO"!

Does money buy God‘s blessings?

Many world religion adherents falsely believe that they can buy God’s favor with money. Hence, you hear of things like “indulgences”, prayer money, church fees, missal fees for prayers of the dead, offertory, whatever name they wish to call it. All this is contrary to God’s word, and the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles. When Jesus was being tempted by the Pharisees and Herodians on whether it was right to pay tribute, He asked them to “show the money” and told them to give God what was God’s, and Caesar what was Caesar’s. MATTHEW: 22: 20-21

20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

In fact, trust in materialism is condemned as a sure way to damnation. Jesus says so, in MARK 10: 25

25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. (Holy Bible, King James Version)

Also in Zephania, the greedy materialists are quickly condemned to everlasting punishment:

ZEPHANIA 1: 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy; for He shall make even a speedy riddance of them that dwell in the land. (Holy Bible, King James version)

In ACTS 8: 18-20, a man called Simon, a sorcerer in Samaria was bewitching people and calling himself great. He then wanted to buy the healing power of the Apostles with money.

18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the Apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.

19 Saying, give me also this power, that on whomever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. (Holy Bible, King James version)

Pagans wrongly think they can get blessings
by peering through a crystal ball!

What does this mean to us?

That all those religions that purport to ‘buy’ heaven through paid prayers, gifts, sacrifices, indulgencies, are the works of the devil set to deceive people. The Bible says it succinctly, you cannot buy God’s gift, it is given freely. So if you are paying money to be prayed for as a means of going to heaven, you have not only sold your soul to the devil, you have purchased your ticket to hell. After you read this and continue to worship the devil and go to hell, do not say that nobody ever told you the Good News of the Living God, through Jesus Christ.
